Trailers are designed to capture the audience's attention and hold it for a short space of time. They give the viewers just enough information to raise their curiosity but not enough to spoil the story. They tease but don't tell.
A good trailer will aim to do the following:
- Create a sense of enigma
- Target a specific Audience
- Gain Viewers interest/capture their attention
- Create a mood or atmosphere
- Use sound to manipulate viewers emotion
- Promotes the film,actor,studio,producer/director.
